Job Description

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Billing Specialist in the Store Support Center, located in Greensboro, NC. This is a vital position for The Fresh Market and directly impacts our business as well as vendor relationships. The Billing Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Merchandising but will work closely with TFM Merchandising AND Accounting.


- Support the merchandising teams’ operations to properly execute billing for vendor supported demos, ads and promotions, including but not limited to:

  • Understand promotional outlines to bill accordingly
  • Process recall information to bill back to vendors
  • Understand inventories and sell through
  • Be aware of departmental resets and understanding vendor agreements
  • Maintain log of all billings
  • Duties of this position are date sensitive in relation to the financial reporting of TFM

- Analyze, interpret and draw conclusions as it relates to vendor and internal data

- Work closely with accounting to generate invoices and conduct checks and balances

- Investigate/problem solve as it relates to questions or mis-matching data



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Accounting
  • 1-3 years with billing or accounting experience
  • 1-3 years of retail merchandising or similar experience
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Accomplished analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and follow through on projects to completion
  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel
